Upcoming Workshop:
Pinhole Photography
 Saturday, February 11th
9:00 to 3:00PM
Participants will make pinhole cameras, use them to take photographs, and develop their pictures in this unique workshop. Pinhole cameras date back to the 5th century, and were developed after the camera obscura. Come enjoy this “ancient art” with us all. All grade levels.

2011-2012 PBCATA Workshops 


Dixon Ticonderoga Workshop: Saturday, September 10th, 9:00 to 3:00PM
This hands‐on workshop will introduce you to new and exciting lesson plans and art techniques that you can use in your classroom. You will get the chance to experiment with varied media while you try out these new lesson plans and techniques. (Lots of samples, too!) All grade levels.

Dick Blick Green and Eco-friendly Workshop: Saturday, October 22nd, 9:00 to 3:00 PM
Another hands‐on workshop! We will learn to do intaglio printing using Claybord and monoprinting using Blick’s own canvas panels. All of the products used are earth‐friendly and the lessons are
affordable and non‐toxic. All grade levels.

UpPurposing Workshop: Saturday, November 19th , 9:00 to 3:00 PM
Trash to treasure! Learn to take disposable items and turn them into saleable goods. Great for classroom activities, clubs, and fundraisers. Another green effort we can all make effortlessly! A “supply” list of trash will be sent to participants in advance. All grade levels.

Raku Under the Full Moon Workshop: Saturday, December 10th, 4:00 PM until ?
Come out and discover the ancient Japanese process of Raku. Learn the technique of Raku and participate in the Raku glazing process. Participants are required to bring their own bisque piece but glazes will be provided. There will also be a holiday social afterwards, so please bring something to share in the potluck. All grade levels.

Grant Grabber Workshop: Saturday, March 31st, 9:00 to 3:00PM
You have great ideas, now find the money to make it happen! Learn to navigate the world of grant writing! This session will cover the overall strategic plan of grant‐writing, including a needs statement, mission, goals, objectives, activities, evaluation, key personnel and budgets. Successful grant writing involves planning, searching for resources, writing and packaging the proposal, submitting the proposal, and follow‐up. Spend the day working on grants for your programs. All grade levels.

It is the right of each individual to develop his own creativity and aesthetic potential. It is our purpose to strengthen the position of art education in Palm Beach County. We support programs in art which meet the needs, interests and abilities of each individual student. We will promote and maintain the highest quality of art education in Palm Beach County
